The first 5 miles of the trail are just about flat and then the grade turns to <br />
"RR" for just about the entire 8 mile ascent up the 4x4 road. Awesome views, <br />
trail a little wet towards the top as the road is still surrounded by snow. <br />
Moderate physical and easy technical.
From Idaho Springs take I-70 west to US 40 over Berthoud Pass to FS 128 <br /><br />take second right after mile marker 234 and park anywhere on the side of the <br /><br />dirt road.
